We’re looking for a numerically-savvy individual to support media planning, account management and business development activities in our New York office. Primary responsibilities will include aggregation, analysis and presentation of data relating to Social Media/Word of Mouth activities, Search engine Marketing and online Display Advertising. The ideal candidate will exhibit the following skills:
• Motivated self-starter demonstrating initiative and focused determination
• Detail-oriented and deadline-driven in all aspects of project management
• Proactive and creative in finding unique applications for his/her skills
• Quick to learn and adapt to various reporting platforms
• Time management skills, ability to multi-task
• Skilled in both analysis and synthesis; can pick apart numbers, and reassemble them to tell a story
• Will assist Media Planners with performance reporting, campaign management and optimization
• Team player who is resourceful enough to work independently when asked
• Self-motivated to follow industry trends and apply them to our business
• Has experience working with social media for personal and/or marketing applications
• Embodies Web Liquid’s research-driven, data-rich approach to digital marketing
• Dedication to client service
• Will be an innovator and a spark for new thinking in our company and the industry
Qualifications:
• Ideally looking for 1-3 years experience in marketing or a related role
• Experience with research deliverables: data collection & formatting, qualitative input, internal review, presentation
• Mac/PC proficiency and advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Familiarity with analytics and adserving software, e.g. Mediaplex, Atlas, DoubleClick, Google AdWords/Analytics, Facebook, Radian6, BuzzMetrics
• Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
• Experience with display & search advertising, SEO, or social media marketing a plus
Career Path:
Data Analysts spend 1-2 years mastering the various analytical needs of our clients’ digital marketing and can look forward to becoming a Sr Data Analyst with many similar tasks, but more responsibility and strategic input on projects.
Some Data Analysts pursue a traditional career path within analytics while others find that the role has prepared them for new opportunities within media planning/buying, Account Management, Project Management, Marketing, consulting or other business ventures.
