XL.com to Sponsor English Premiership Team West Ham United

XL.com and West Ham United today announced a partnership deal that will see XL.com become the official sponsors of the London-based Barclays Premier League club from the beginning of the 2007-08 season.

The three-year deal will become effective from the 7th June and see the West Ham United club shirt - branded with the XL.com logo - go on general sale on 16th June. XL will have a significant presence at the Upton Park stadium, including a bespoke XL design covering the entire roof of the East Stand and branding on the state-of-the-art LED pitch perimeter advertising system during matches.

XL.com will roll-out a series of Online Marketing programs across www.whufc.com and its registered fan base in conjunction with West Ham’s partnership team to leverage the value of online media. Web Liquid, XL.com Online Agency of Record since 2004, will be responsible for developing and managing the online initiatives.

The West Ham United Chairman, Eggert Magnusson responded to the announcement of the partnership with the following statement: “West Ham United is delighted to announce XL.com as our new Principle Partner.
